Salon Marielle is an Aveda Concept Salon with two locations in Ellicott City, Maryland & Havre de Grace Maryland.

Alisha McBee

After 15 years, she is still passionate about hair, skin care and make-up. She continues to take courses with Aveda to expand her knowledge on products and services. Alisha is licensed in both Maryland and Tennessee. She also splits her time between both the Ellicott City and Havre de Grace locations. In Havre de Grace Alisha is more than just another stylist. From haircuts and color to facials, body treatments and make-up applications; she truly can do it all. When Alisha's not busy working in the salons she loves spending time with her family, reading, painting and making cards.

Aza Tuneva

In Russia, in 1982, Aza graduated from the School of Hair and Clothes Design. While working as a stylist she attended college to become an engineer. She worked as an engineer in Russia until relocating to the U.S. in the early 90's. She renewed her passion for hair upon arriving in the U.S. and has been a stylist ever since. Aza's engineering skills are evident in her work and transcend in her love of cutting and coloring hair. She has participated in and won several competitions both domestically and overseas. She is passionate about natural and holistic healing and is the Sensory Journey and Chakra Specialist for Salon Marielle in Ellicott City. When she's not busy in the salon Aza can be found spending time with her family, or attending martial arts classes.

Brian Casey

As President of his class at the Aveda Institute, Brian had the passion and drive to excel in his education. He brought that passion and love of the industry with him when he joined our Ellicott City team in 2010. A talented artist outside of the salon, his interest in painting, music and fashion shows in his love of edgy cuts and corrective color. Brian has a knack for recommending the right color and cut for his guests, as well as the right Aveda products for them to achieve and maintain their new look at home. He continues to attend Aveda classes regularly to keep up with the latest trends and advancements in the industry. Look for his signature sidewalk signs at our Ellicott City location.

Elizabeth Pavlovsky

After two years of dedicated training, she completed her apprenticeship in 2008. Since then she has continued her education attending classes with Sam Villa, Redken and Aveda. She has done numerous events with the Aveda Lifestyle Stores in Columbia Mall and Towson Town Center. She loves working with thick, curly hair and highlighting. She is the new Aveda Mentor, responsible for working directly with Aveda Representatives to bring us the latest product news. If Elizabeth is not working at Salon Marielle in Ellicott City or meeting new clients at the Aveda Store she can be found with her nose in a book or working on her Spanish and Portuguese.

Jenni Rosenberger

After graduating from the Graham Webb Academy three years ago Jenni became a member of our team in 2009. She loves both cutting and coloring hair. She has attended several continuing education classes with Aveda such as Razor Cutting and Graham Webb, including UpWork a class devoted to special event styling. Jenni is Salon Marielle in Ellicott City's Wedding Specialist. With a passion for fashion Jenni participated and was a finalist in Aveda's 2009 Rock the Runway competition. She finished in the top five for the Mid-Atlantic region. Jenni fit right in with Salon Marielle and Aveda. Our mission and core values go hand in hand with Jenni's "green" living. She is passionate about recycling and environmental volunteer work. Last year Jenni participated in Haircuts for Haiti a fundraiser organized by Salon Marielle and the Aveda Store in Columbia Mall. Her love of people and life is evident not only in the salon but all her philanthropic work as well.

Kathleen Lauer

A 2005 graduate of the Paul Mitchell Academy, Kathleen joined our Ellicott City team in 2009. Kathleen is passionate about color and focuses her continuing education on learning new techniques and formulations. This year she completed a rigorous education program and became certified by the American Board of Colorists. She has completed Aveda's Color Wise course and is our in salon Aveda Certified Color Educator. She is passionate about creating custom formulated colors for clients that best enhance their natural beauty. With an eye on fashion and trends Kathleen was a finalist in the Rock the Runway Fashion and Hair Show in 2010.

 

 

Laurie Booth

Two years after completing her education at Robert Paul Academy, Laurie joined Salon Marielle in Ellicott City in 2005. She loves enhancing our guests' natural color with highlights or creating a new look with a fresh cut. She has attended cut and color continuing education classes with both the Graham Webb Academy and Aveda in Alexandria. Laurie is always on time and ready to serve her guests with a positive attitude and a smile. A huge sports fan she can be found in the stands rooting on the Ravens and Capitals with her husband. She also enjoys attending concerts and traveling. After years of spending summers with her family in Ocean City, you can bet when she's not in the salon you can find her down the ocean hon!

Rachel Rawlings

After growing up around the salon industry and fifteen years of customer service experience Rachel puts all that knowledge to good use as the Salon Manager for both of our locations. From customer satisfaction to over seeing our employees Rachel takes care of it all. Feel free to call her with questions about services or products; she's always available for our guests. While most of her time is spent in Ellicott City, she is never more than a car ride away and quick to help out when Havre de Grace needs an extra set of hands. When she's not busy with all the daily activities of two salons, Rachel spends her time with her husband and three children. As a published author of urban fantasy novels Rachel can also be found on her laptop or scribbling down notes for her next novel.
